Biography
Inger, the creative force behind 'Handmade by Inger,' now resides in Bournemouth, where she leads a retired life. Her passion for weaving, has gracefully transformed into a cherished hobby. With an enthusiastic history encompassing knitting, crochet, cross-stitching, and even clothes making, her journey naturally evolved towards the captivating realm of weaving.
In a quaint corner of Åmal, Sweden, Inger embarked on her weaving journey during a blissful summer vacation. Under the guidance of skilled mentors, she delved into the art of crafting traditional Scandinavian treasures – table runners, mats, curtains, carpets, tea towels, bath towels, and rugs. Through the years, Inger's innate sense of color flourished, and she began to curate her unique palettes, beautifully marrying them with timeless Swedish designs.
Presently, Inger dedicates her time to crafting fresh designs for table runners, infusing her meticulous attention to detail into every fiber. Her devotion to excellence is mirrored in her choice of the finest yarn, thoughtfully sourced from Sweden. As she weaves her creations, Inger's passion continues to breathe life into each masterpiece, preserving the heart and soul of traditional craftsmanship.
