Peckham Art Prints & South London Creative Memories

Peckham is one of London’s most creative and fast-changing neighbourhoods, known for its independent spirit, bold culture and strong South London identity. From busy high streets and market culture to creative spaces and rooftop venues, Peckham has developed a reputation as one of the capital’s most energetic communities.

My own connection to Peckham came about through a local event called Pexmas Market, where I arranged to have a stall displaying my artwork. At the time, I realised I had no scenes of Peckham, so I decided to explore the area and create a small collection inspired by the neighbourhood and its atmosphere.

The result were two drawings that aimed to capture the everyday energy and character of Peckham rather than focusing purely on landmarks. As with much of my artwork, I was interested in the movement of people, the life within the streets and the feeling of a community constantly evolving around you.

Although I don’t visit Peckham regularly, I admire the creative energy that runs throughout the area and the strong sense of individuality that makes it stand out within South London.
