Soho Art Prints & Music District Memories
Soho has long been one of London’s most creative neighbourhoods, known for its music history, markets and vibrant street life. My Soho collection currently features one painting inspired by Berwick Street, chosen for its lively atmosphere, colourful buildings and traditional high street feel.
What first attracted me to the scene was the energy of the street itself — the market stalls in the distance, the independent shopfronts and the contrast between old Soho and the more modern buildings beyond. The street simply felt alive.
It was only later that I discovered Berwick Street had famously appeared on the cover of Oasis’ (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? album, adding another layer of musical history to the location. Historically, the street was also known for its many independent record shops, helping shape Soho’s creative identity for generations.
For me, Soho represents creativity, individuality and the atmosphere of discovering London through its streets rather than its landmarks.
