Maida Vale Art Prints & Little Venice London Memories
Maida Vale is one of those parts of London that seems to have its own pace and personality. Known for its elegant tree-lined streets, beautiful period architecture and the canals of Little Venice, it can sometimes feel surprisingly removed from the noise and rush of central London.
What I particularly enjoy about exploring Maida Vale and Little Venice is discovering the smaller streets and neighbourhood corners that give the area its real character. Away from the better-known canal views are independent cafés, restaurants, local pubs and shops that form part of everyday life for the people who live here.
Cycling through the area with my camera immediately opened up possibilities for new paintings. Travelling by bicycle allows me to slow down, turn into streets I might otherwise pass and look at London from a completely different perspective. It is often on these journeys that I find the locations that eventually become part of my artwork…..

Formosa Street was one of those discoveries.
Just a short distance from the canals of Little Venice, Formosa Street has the feeling of a small village high street hidden within West London. Its cafés, restaurants, local shops and the historic Prince Alfred pub create a wonderful backdrop to everyday London life.
On a summer’s day, with people sitting outside, meeting friends, walking through the neighbourhood or simply going about their day, the street takes on a completely different energy. It was exactly the sort of London scene I wanted to capture — colourful and busy, but still unmistakably local.
For me, these paintings are not simply about recording what a London street looks like. They are about the memories we attach to places.
A particular street might remind you of the home you once lived in, the route you walked every morning, a favourite pub, meeting friends for dinner, or simply a period of your life spent in London.
My Maida Vale and Little Venice art prints are created to capture some of those connections — familiar London streets and neighbourhoods that can mean something completely different to each person who looks at them.
Whether Maida Vale is somewhere you call home, somewhere you once lived, or simply a favourite corner of London, I hope these artworks bring back a few memories of your own.

Highgate | Perfect Keepsake Gift
This vibrant acrylic painting captures the charm and character of Highgate High Street — a lively stretch where independent shops, cosy pubs, and the occasional high-street chain like Cafè Nero blend together in a uniquely North London rhythm. Looking down toward the City of London, the composition draws the eye through the heart of the village, where local life unfolds.
In the foreground, you’ll spot The Angel pub, a much-loved local with regulars gathered outside, pint in hand, basking in the summer sunshine. It’s a celebration of community, familiar faces, and the timeless ritual of a weekend well spent.
Highgate has long been a magnet for creatives — famously home to the likes of Jamie Oliver and Jude Law — and it’s easy to see why. Though famously hilly, the neighbourhood rewards with stunning views and a sense of peaceful separation from the city’s buzz.
This limited edition print makes a wonderful gift or personal keepsake for anyone who’s lived in, loved, or simply admired this stylish corner of North London.
